A German Islamist is calling for the murder of members of a far-right party that regularly provokes ultra-conservative Muslims using cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, a newspaper reported.

According to an article due to appear Monday in the Tageszeitung daily, an Islamist from Bonn in western Germany has appeared in a video on an Islamic forum in which he encouraged "the killing of all activists from the Pro NRW party".

Members of the small extreme-right political party held a campaign event using anti-Islamic caricatures ahead of an election in Germany's most populous state North Rhine-Westphalia on May 13.

In his appeal, the Islamist urged the collection of personal information on Pro NRW members, including their home addresses and work schedules, with the goal of attacking them.

"We take this message seriously," an Interior Minister spokesman told the newspaper, which said the man had broadcast messages for the "Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan".

Several police were injured during recent clashes between Islamists and Pro NRW members.

The right-wing activists have for several years campaigned against the construction of mosques and have in some protests marched with cartoons of Mohammed that were initially published by a Danish newspaper in 2005, leading to a wave of violence and anger across the Muslim world.

Islam strictly prohibits the depiction of any prophet as blasphemous.

Yeah, but that's their barmy mindset. Why should the rest of the world adhere to their doctrines?  Typical of the totalitarian, bigoted mindset, they swagger around condemning anything that is non Islamic, yet start making death threats against those who do the same in regard to Islam.  I am always amazed by the double standards of not only themselves but those who defend them.  While the latter apparently abhors what it sees as extreme, right-wing Neo-Nazism, they will defend a doctrine that is every bit as bad - and all in the name of standing up against racism and bigotry (yawn).  As I've said before, these people seem to suffer from some kind of mental deficiency

If all it takes to set the Islamadons away on a frenzy is a cartoon!...how will they handle the eventual and inevitable banning of the Koran that the world will have no choice to do in the future?...sometime just after the oil runs out!

Islam.. if you are going to kick off do it over something a bit more adult than a cartoon ffs!

Is it now legally acceptable to call for the murder of your 'enemies'?  If it is I might be tempted to call for the murder of every Islamic preacher on this island.  I do hope the Thought Police noticed my use of "if" and "might", just in case they didn't I emphasised them

Good on them for standing up for Germans and Germany their native indigenous homeland.

Islam strictly prohibits the depiction of any prophet as blasphemous. But Islam does approve of misogyny, rape, infanticide, pedophilia, torture, murder, terrorism and islamification.
