Like forest wolves we descend upon the would-be usurpers
Our fiery eyes are burning with hate
Howling to the ancestors, three eagles are laid to waste
No longer this land to stain, no longer this land to stain
Felled like wheat on harvest day the Romans fell
Their blood soaked the forest floor
This ambush with Arminius cleaves a pathway
To freedom and unification
Stumbling, blind eyes wide with fear
No escape from our axes and spears
Those would-be hunters - hunted down
Trapped within the endless forest
None of them will ever,
None of them will ever return
Twenty thousand strong they came to make our people bleed
So arrogant and unaware so vain in their beliefs
Bound by their leader's vanity, his ego and his greed
Lead them to annihilation - our triumph in the trees
The vengeance of the forest dances to Thunder's song
Great legions are torn asunder whilst the ravens watch on
We sons of Woden stand firm upon this ground
An echo through the forest as victory hails aloud

I was wondering how long it'd be before an Anglo-Saxon band in this style would come along. And I must say, very promising. Could do really well on the mainland - they love it over there.

Ravenage are playing York Fibbers, as support to Tyr, on the 18th Feb as part of the Jorvick Festival, if anyone's interested
I've got tickets, as I wanted to support the metal scene here - the more people go to the gigs, the more bands get booked
Plus it's expensive always going to Germany for gigs....
