The Politburo shows its face - IanPJ on Politics

The Politburo that we have warned against for years has finally labelled itself and has come out into the open. Not only was there a coup in Greece over the weekend, but also one in the highest echelons of the EU itself.
The editorial in today’s Telegraph explains:
At the G20 summit in Cannes at the weekend, a small number of delegates could be seen sporting lapel badges announcing their membership of the Groupe de Francfort (GdF). This has become the informal leadership body of the eurozone, the A-team set up to deal with the crisis – or rather to continue dithering over what to do about it. Members of the GdF include Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, and Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president. The group also comprises the chiefs of the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the EU Council. It has been called Europe’s Politburo – and the nickname is particularly apposite. For if the European Union has exhibited one defining characteristic over its lifetime, it has been a profound dislike of democratic decision-making.
That is should try to build on the name of the Frankfurt School is also a point not missed. It is Soviet by name, Soviet by nature. As I warned yesterday, now that they have shown themselves the power they have over vassel states leaders, they will be drawn to bigger, and uglier power grabs.
Again, the Telegraph:
The GdF is something that would have been familiar in the old Soviet Union – a self-appointed body of powerful individuals prepared to topple national governments if they fail to toe the line. The GdF met four times on the sidelines of the Cannes summit, issuing ultimatums to Greece and Italy that have destabilised the administrations in both countries.
With such leaps in the openness of undemocratic takeover it cannot be long before the tyranny begins. The use of the plethora of draconian laws pre-prepared by Blair & Brown, the rounding up of dissenters, camps for re-education, disposal of the patriots.
This is an evil that must be stopped now, before this continent finds itself in the grip of war yet again. It is an evil that already infests our shores, our political body, our institutions and the plethora of ‘agencies’ and fake charities.
Already the Police in London have decided that policing by consent is as dead as our democracy. The Met will be using baton rounds/rubber bullets at the student demo in town this week.
I wonder whether the public & military of today has the same stomach to defend this country from its internal enemies as they have done so bravely in the past against our external ones.
I will continue to speak out, and to fight if called upon, to defend my homeland.
Will YOU?
