Wodfreca Records is proud to present 'On Modranihte', a download only EP by Æþelruna available from the 5th of December, featuring a brand new original composition, On Modranihte, and a cover of dark ambient project Hoyland's Paganland. The EP will be available from all good online download stores including iTunes and Amazon MP3, with all money raised going to The Steadfast Trust.

Modrnihte or 'mothers night is the shortest day/night of the year or winter solstace, before the new year was to start with the days becomming longer again.

Sort of celebrating the mother before the birth of the new year

I've purchased them and thanks for sharing. A good cause to naturally, I don't normally chose to download MP3's - I'm looking forward to more and only yesterday was introducing my neighbors to you via 'maximum volume'.

I had the track on Youtube for promotional purposes, but I removed it once the EP was available to purchase as I realised folk could unscrupulously download from there for free if they have the correct plugins. Usually that wouldn't bother me too much, but the whole point of making this specific release was to raise money for the Steadfast Trust.

I've known folk put up a 30 sec or so teaser on YouTube to advertise the track - but yeah, I have said plug-in, & many people aren't fussed about the quality they download the track, so will leech from YouTube etc.

I'm looking forward to your new stuff Ƿulfhelm. I also hear that we can expect an album from Fyrdsman this year.. a good year for Englisc music is in the offing.
