Moral values are totally absent from 'New Britain', the very antithesis of 'Old England'.

"And Now, at long last, our men of the world, our men of 1914, the grim ranks of our ex-servicemen again and again betrayed by our politicians. They join hands with the new youth, the new generation, which remembers the past - we say England is not dead ! We say, and I ask you to say with us, lift up your voices in this great meeting in the heart of England ! Send to all the world a message ! England lives - and marches on !

Nice tattoos.. .thumbsup

I have been itching for more ink for a while now, I'll do the research but I'm pretty sure I'm going down these lines for my next although I'll have to travel unless I can find a good Englisc artist around here. I have nothing against the people here, take as I find and they've all been great with me but I can't be having a celt putting an Englisc design on me, wouldn't feel right :P

I do like Scyld's fighting man too, there's definitely space on me for a reworking of that design :rune19:

"They have never asked us, and they never will. Do we allow them to sell our heritage? Or is it time for us to speak? To speak. To refuse them the right to give away our holy, our bountiful, our only England that has nurtured us naked, has grown us as the Oak.
Is it time for us that England know to come yet again and defend our country, with our fire, our fists! Is it time for her sons to rise again?
I say YES!"

No, you're right. When fresh, it was perfect, but as it healed, it ( the ink) bled and became unsymetrical.

I think that would be an "awww crap!" moment.

Get it reworked, your artist should be happy to do it.

I was going to start an "official" tattoo thread but now I've seen this one I'll stay here.

I already have a full Germanic sleeve, plus one calf nearing full coverage, I'm now planning a back piece.

Take a look at this image. To me, it's not far off a historically accurate image of Harold Godwinsson, maybe with a little bit of artistic license! How different would the clothing and armour of the much earlier King Penda differ? Or would they be very similar? I'm thinking of this image very large on my back, surrounded by a framework of Saxon knotwork and animalistic designs. The Saxon horde will be source material for some of it.
