All day down here in Sussex on BBC radio Sussex and local BBC TV they have been reporting on the racial abuse suffered by foreign Taxi Drivers in Hastings. Now I don't doubt for one minute that this is happening [a court appearance by a perpetrator has taken place] and being a Taxi Driver myself certainly don't condone it whatever their colour etc', I've been on the receiving end myself on more than one occasion and I'm white English. This is my point, to my knowledge there has never been the coverage given when a white Driver has suffered abuse both here and in London where I did the same work. Mostly drivers who were attacked unless it was an extreme act of violence just wrote it off as a bad experience. At my last Cab office in Croydon several drivers [all white]  were attacked by niggers with knives, thankfully not actually stabbed, but robbed, the drivers never even bothered to report it to the Police as they knew nothing would be done about it, just logged. Maybe just an occasional paragraph in the local paper if anyone did report it. In this case It is because he/they are called, for example, a bloody foreigner or something more extreme. What I'm getting at here is when you have a go at someone for whatever the reason, you pick on an attribute of that person,eg, before we were overrun with foreigners and you had an argument with another kid at school, you would say something like....you fat git/four eyes/smelly git/skinny git/ginger nut or much worse. This is basically the same thing, the idiots who say these things are picking on an obvious distinction, in this case his colour. It seems the media have grabbed this and made a good run with it, or maybe I'm getting a little paranoid in my old age.

it's the same with kids at chool getting bullied now, if they can prove the bullying was racist, the punishment is harder. Surely it just as hurtful to be called a ginger bastard as it is to be called a black bastard, all bullying is hurtful, full stop.

This is a good point Alda. These people tell us there is no such thing as race, yet when a person who is not white suffers any form of discrimination, real or assumed, it is spread all over the place all the time... If that person where white, and, lets say, had ginger hair; it would be ignored, dismissed or not taken into consideration by the mainstream media. If race does not exist then the circumstances are the same - the person did not choose to be born black and neither did the person with ginger hair choose to be born with ginger hair. Both traits are genetically inherited.

This brings me on to my next point in that 'choice', or a lack thereof, should not even come into it anyway, discrimination is discrimination regardless of the circumstance in which the sufferer has came from; Through out my youth I was not bullied, as such, rather got alot of stick off alot people, because I was 'different' - from, I'd say, ages 11 through to 15, I was spat at, had things thrown at me, had people start fights with me, had things shouted at me, had grown men stop next to me in their car and shout, swear and laugh at me - amongst countless other things... Why? Because my hair was a little longer than average and I wore an Iron Maiden t-shirt.  

People are nob heads, it's as simple as that; they pick out people who look different to themselves and use it to start shit. More to the point, though; I do not know a single black person who has had any of the things posted above happen to them for their being black, and if they had I'm more than sure it would make national news.

So why is it any different? Particularly if race doesn't exist. Why is it any different?

They want to play both sides of the arguement and have double standards. I personally was bullied mercilessly at school for being English @ a Belfast Catholic school ( I went down like a lead balloon as you can expect). But if the Pc looney brigade want everyone to ignore colour which lets face it  is only a reaction to where ancestry settled 10000s of yrs ago and skin pigments adapted to the sun then they better drop the issue of it totally. You cant have 2 bites of the cherry - One saying  oh look colour doesnt exist we are all one under god and then   a 2nd bite that says  if you mention colour  youre going to Court for racial abuse. If we are all one then we have abused ourselves as much as anyone else  by their standards. The Guardian reading Islington sandal wearing yoghurt knitting who all wear ethnic clothing make me sick. They are a bloody embarrassment. The people whos rights they claim to want to protect dont want or need their patronisation and Im damn sure are as sick to death as I am being told  by some middle class hippy whos never been further than Crete that to say blackboard  or BaBa black sheep is racial abuse

I saw a little kid on "Elmos World" Channel 5 the other day , black with ginger hair, it just looks odd, I  said it out loud as well "look a ginger black kid" . My 2 year old son did`t take any notice and thankfully has`nt copied me, hejust got on with watching the show whilst playing with his cars.

I have to , I get out voted and its not that bad is it ?, when you consider some of the other tripe on in the morning, like "The Jeremy Kyle Show" how he keeps his hands from the chavs necks is a miracle to me.

Getting back to the foriegn taxi drivers, when my wife first moved in with me about 10 years ago ,she did`nt know the area and went out for the night with friends, when getting a taxi back home the taxi driver could just about speak two words of English , did`nt know our address and could`nt work the satnav. It took her 2hrs to get home from a distance of 10 miles , naturally he got a large "fuck off pill" from me and I refused to pay the fare, as she did`nt have enough money to pay the after midnight rate,a shitty phone call went to his firm .Believe it or not the twat called the Police who thankfully saw my side of the story, so I now ask for an English speaking driver if I ever need a cab (that firm has now gone bust, so no need to phone them)

I dont think there is anything wrong with asking for en English speaking driver!! I usually listen to talksport at night but have now stopped thanks to the Twat Adrian Goldberg who announced on air that the driver in Southampton who have the stickers on their cabs saying " English Speaking Driver" are racist. Excuse me did I wake up on planet Zog this morning??? Asking for a driver to understand you is basic common sense not a racial slur, you wouldnt go to Japan and expect them all to speak french ffs.

Like your wife Ive had trouble wife drivers who cant find my address. I live in a funny named street and when I tell them they name I get the answer what street is it on!! I now only use London black cabs as at least they have a basic knowledge of London and its a condition of  their licence that they speak fluent English

And whats wrong with Jeremy Kyle?? Its the best comedy show on TV
