http://www.lymebaywi...untry_wines.php - my favourite mead, though the only other I've tried is Harvest Gold. I've heard good things about Lindisfarne though.

Here's a local one, very light and tasty, Eglantine Mead: http://www.costock.f...21eglantin.html

And here's a really good one -

http://www.moniackca....co.uk/mead.htm

OK folks - sorry, I know it's from north of the border but our Hearth gothi a few years ago was a Scot, and use to bring a bottle to blots. This is really nice, dark, heavy and very tasty!

Lyme Bay is my current fave!

Can I also recommend an excellent heathen cocktail - half mead, half malt whisky - give it a try!

:rune20: :) :rune26: ;) :rune19:

Not a mead supplier but try this site, mead resources and info:

http://www.gotmead.com/

Even shows you how to make your own!! ;) I also found this mead supplier through that site:

Dark Mead - 14.5% - 500ml

A Medieval style Dark Mead, very smooth with a superb honey flavour. Presented in a medieval style flask it looks good to.

"William the Conqueror had turned the English out of their birthrights; and compelled them for necessity to be servants to him and to his Norman soldiers" - Gerrard Winstanley

We always have been, we are, and I hope that we always shall be detested in France - Duke of Wellington

"Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society... then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them... We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant."

Beer,Wine,Mead.
Hooray for alcohol !
And thats why I will never submit to that demented arabian death cult.(and of course Wodin and co wouldn`t like it)
Never trust a man who doesn`t drink, all those demented ragheads would be a lot more reasonable if they just got plastered once in a while.

Not having tried Mead for many a year, I decided to try Gales Mead now made by Fullers Brewery ( since they bought out George Gale and closed the brewery at Horndean, Hants). Most Asdas flog it with other country wines , about 14% and tastes nice. Its sells for around £4.80 a bottle. .thumbsup
