What follows is an interpretation of the Beowulf epic, inspired by Dr. David Breeden's translation and written in a style we hope you will find suitable for children from the age of 7 upwards. We recommend parents read the story first as it does include some scenes containing violence, which you may not find suitable for your children. The story is long so we have split it up into three distinct chapters.
It should be noted that some of the original characters and speeches have been reduced in length or omitted altogether to avoid information overload, but the story and main characters remain the same.
